ROLE SUMMARY:

The Salesforce Engineer builds and maintains our Salesforce instance that hosts CRM, Policy Administration, and Claims. You are experienced with Salesforce data models and the Salesforce API. You pride yourself on creating reliable and available software. You understand the need for accurate program data, and are familiar with the security concerns of a highly regulated industry like insurance.

This role is open to remote candidates in the US.

You report to an Engineering Manager who works in Pacific Time. You'll partner with Product Managers, Salesforce Engineers in various timezones. LeaseLock is headquartered in Marina Del Rey, CA with core working hours in Pacific Time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain features for Policy Administration and Claims in Salesforce and Salesforce Industries (aka "Vlocity")

• Collaborate with other engineers to maintain the Salesforce/LeaseLock API integration

• Write and maintain Salesforce Apex code

• Partner with Salesforce Admins and Product Specialists to ensure CRM and other system integrations seamlessly flow data through to Salesforce for Policy Admin and Claims

• Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong SQL Skills — You can extract meaningful data from Salesforce. You know what JOINs are and how to describe them to someone else fluently. You’re no stranger to GROUP BYs and aggregate functions.

• Apex — You are familiar with the Apex coding language. You can easily manipulate Salesforce data with Apex scripts.

• Salesforce Object Modeling — You know how to build Salesforce object models from scratch. These models lend themselves to a well-organized data layout.

• Salesforce API — You know your way around the Salesforce API. You can create applications that allow flexible and easy API integrations. You know how to advise other engineers on how to best utilize the Salesforce API, and are familiar with the API’s limitations and best practices.

• Tech Documentation — You can write clear and concise technical documentation to promote and cement understanding of your features across the Engineering and Product departments.

• Collaborated with engineers through VCS and peer reviews — You have performed and received code reviews through a VCS system such as Github.

• Strong understanding of all point and click configurations.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Salersforce Industries (aka "SFI" or "Vlocity")

• Experience with Lightning Web Component development

• Worked in a remote environment
