WHY WE NEED YOU
As a Mechatronics Engineer at VH, you’ll develop mechanical and EE systems for our hyperloop program, working hands-on to design, test, integrate, and deploy. You’ll join the Systems Engineering & Integration team within Product Development Engineering group. This team leads overall integration of the physical and electrical elements which comprise our system. We enable and facilitate problem solving on multiple levels to support the greater organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create plant models (Simulink/Python) for our auxiliary power systems architecture and aiding systems understanding of functional definition
- Author control models and algorithms (Simulink/Stateflow/C) for deployment in a bespoke stack
- Select electrical hardware, release pinouts, create schematics, release and maintain harness drawings for procurement
- Support 3D routing of low-voltage communication harnessing on vehicle and wayside infrastructure systems
- Responsible for the auxiliary battery, auxiliary power, and misc. mechatronic system development on the vehicle
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field or equivalent work experience in electrical, mechanical, software systems development
- Practical working experience building and deploying electrical/mechatronic systems and integrating complex systems together
- Proficient with CAD software, such as Solidworks, Catia, NX
- Proficient with software stack deployment from low level firmware up to application/algorithm deployment and ideally experience with automating code generation/deployment
- Understanding of control theory and networking architecture a bonus
