System1 is looking for a creative and talented Web Developer. Our platform interacts with tens of million of users per month, and our mission is to develop user interfaces that provide an intuitive user interaction and dramatically enhance the overall user experience. In this role, your contributions will be extremely visible and have a direct impact on a large user base. We experiment with and optimize all our user interfaces, and we actively find the most effective layouts via extensive A/B testing. Our design life-cycle is consistently driven by quantitative data analysis in order to measure and maximize user impact. The Role You Will Have

• Design and maintain dynamic web pages using WordPress plugins and progressive web apps
• Design, create, and maintain front-end tools and UI Components
• Work with project stakeholders to design and build websites across multiple verticals
• Participate in code reviews and application design discussions
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across locations in various technical and non-technical roles

What You Will Bring

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science
• Experience working both within a team environment and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Motivation to remain up-to-date on current trends in design and web publishing
• Excellent time management skills and organization with ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• PHP and JavaScript
• CSS, HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap (Angular2 and NodeJS a plus)
• MySQL and relational databases
• WordPress Core (themes, plugins, actions, filters and shortcodes)
• Linux secuirty and sys admin for Apache, Varnish, and PHP
• API communication standards using XML and/or JSON
• Amazon Web Services suite (RDS, route53, S3 EFS, etc.)
• Git version control and continuous integration concepts
• Knowledge of cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility issues
