BLDUP, Inc is looking for an energetic and experienced Ruby on Rails engineer (or similar framework) to join our quirky team of senior engineers that are dedicated to executing on our customer ordained feature roadmap.

About BLDUP

BLDUP is a real-time CRE (commercial real estate) analytics platform that tracks construction projects from initial proposal plans to construction completion all the way through leasing and sales. Our data platform uses a stack of modern technologies that collect, connect, and humanize the flow of billions of data points through our system. We are looking for another great team member to make this engine their baby - and help us build and grow it into maturity.

About The Role

In a typical day, you will:

• Work to build scoped features with the rest of the engineering team in an agile environment
• Close tickets on our project management system and do a celebratory dance
• Contribute to feature ideas in brainstorms
• Breakdown Epics into smaller scopes
• Add and use fun emojis on Slack 
• Make sure we're meeting our timeline goals
• Be a key member of a killer team that is building a true must-have utility product for the industry

About You

In an ideal world you would have:

• 3+ years of experience building production-grade web applications
• Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails
• Strong sense of pride and ownership over every feature release
• Experience in start-ups, agencies, or other fast paced environments where the trade off between speed to market and perfection is present

It would also be nice if you have: 

• Familiarity working with external APIs including Sendgrid, Mailchimp, Stripe, Google Maps, and Google Cloud
• An appetite to work hard and laugh at the same time
• A burning desire to learn new programming languages and frameworks (we are constantly adding to our stack of technology)

Job Type: We are ideally looking for a Full-time hire but would be open to Part-time work in unique situations.
