As Engineering Manager of Infrastructure at Cloudbeds, you will lead and grow a remote team of DevOps across US/Canada/Brazil that are central to designing, delivering, and maintaining our cloud platforms and services. You will be responsible for their continued growth and performance as individuals and a team, as well as expedited delivery of well-managed and safely executed projects. The Engineering Manager US/Canada of Infrastructure collaborates very closely with the entire technology group, including architecture, software, quality, product, and stakeholders, to bring team members together to build amazing solutions for our customers. You will also work closely with customer support to continuously experiment and iterate on new processes and workflows aiming to optimize efficiency, quality, and communication. Your top priority is to lead a healthy, engaged, and focused team to deliver scalable, available, performant, and secure product infrastructure.

As the Engineering Manager of Infrastructure at Cloudbeds, you will have the opportunity to make a global impact across the travel industry and contribute our vision to power every property around the world.

Location: Remote - US & Canada

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the vision and strategy for Infrastructure at Cloudbeds.
  • Manage a high-quality infrastructure engineering team, supporting their technical and professional growth.
  • Encourage a healthy and engaging team culture demonstrating Cloudbeds’ values through mentorship, performance management including 1:1’s, and measurable objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams on project prioritization, planning, assignment, and delivery.
  • Guide and ensure sharp and timely execution of product roadmap and escalations.
  • Develop and iterate processes to optimize team and organizational efficiency, quality, and communication.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and decisions.

You’ll Succeed With:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a Systems, Cloud, or DevOps Engineer.
  • 3+ years experience as an Infrastructure Engineering Manager managing remote engineers.
  • 3+ years experience working with Amazon Web Services.
  • Strong experience in Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, metrics 
  • Strong experience in Terraform
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, product owners, and leads across functional groups.
  • Strong experience growing engineering teams
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and deliver on project timelines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and technical writing skills.
  • Strong flexible Agile methodologies through Scrum ceremonies and Jira.
  • Ability to take initiative and make an impact on the larger organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage your own time in an international team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with monolith to microservice transformations.
  • Experience working with both central and embedded DevOps team structures.
  • Experience implementing hiring, onboarding, or training programs.
  • Experience working in a PCI-compliant environment.
