Job Summary:
As an Engineering Tech Lead at Ruggable, you’ll be directly responsible for building applications to delight our customers. You will lead our engineering team and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope. In addition, you will play a key role in deciding the future of our technical architecture to ensure future scalability to new markets. Additionally, you will work directly with business partners (e.g., customer service, acquisition, data, operations) and build solutions that meet their needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Mentor engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers
- Lead the development of advanced features like language translations, augmented reality, personalization and new geography expansions
- Develop and maintain our tech stack to reduce technical debt and ensure future scalability
- Formulate quarterly tech road map and determine the long-term core product architecture
- Partner with Product Managers & Designers to come up with the best solutions for our customers
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 5+ years experience in software engineering
- Ability to problem solve collaboratively with team members
- Previous experience as a strong Full-Stack Engineer (our current stack is Shopify, React, GraphQL, Node, AWS, and Python)
- Experience leading teams to architect and develop applications from scratch
- Experience with eCommerce and/or public-facing applications and how they plug into internal tools (Shopify preferred)
- Experience building and deploying CI/CD and ETL pipelines
- Experience developing applications on a team (e.g., code review, test automation)
- 2+ years of experience working with e-commerce, start-ups and/or consumer goods companies (preferred)
- Preferred location in Los Angeles, but open to remote
