Overview and Responsibilities
Lead a team of DevOps Engineers (AWS, CI/CD, scaling) to lead, drive Pluto TV's extensive growth. Automate and increase efficiency to support rapid enhancements, new releases, and rapidly increasing scale.
This is an important leadership role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Own and lead a significant DevOps effort and team for the Pluto TV software and delivery.
- Design and perform system and server management, database management, configuration management, deep troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and enhancement for cloud / hosted large scale consumer web systems.
- Coordinate tests of new dev ops software and systems.
- Plan, define, implement the requirements for off-hour systems maintenance work.
- Oversee change management activities on the supported systems.
- Develop operations procedures, such as backups and recovery processes.
- Install and configure cloud systems.
- Resolve technical and user problems.
Basic Qualifications
- Top level technical leadership skills and prior experience owning and leading a large scaled media or web dev ops system
- 7-10 years of DevOps experience for large scale web hosted consumer services
- Chef and Puppet experience
- AWS hosting experience
- Large Scale Infrastructure Experience
- Experience with technologies and systems such as: Mongo, ACQ, Beanstalk, Node.js, Linux, etc
