About the Role of Senior Android Developer

As a Senior Android developer at FightCamp, you will play a key role in building the next generation of the FightCamp app. Working on the product team, you’ll have the opportunity to solve challenging problems, work with the latest technologies, and extensively contribute to a one-of-a-kind app.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the CTO, the Android team, Product Managers, Designers, and QA to build and maintain a best-in-class app.

What You Will Do

• Hire a team of engineers that will responsible for developing the Android version of FightCamp.
• Leverage external engineering firm to speed up the initial phase of development
• Architect and plan the foundation of a new Android app.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI team to build the roadmap and reach features parity with the iOS app.
• Provide leadership and growth opportunities to your team members.
• Work with technical leads to help drive technical strategy.
• Implement best practices in architectural design and mentor team in these practices

Requirements

• 3 years minimum hands-on technical management experience.
• 8+ years of relevant mobile software development experience.
• Demonstrable experience shipping several large-scale projects.
• Worked on one or more apps shipped to the Google Play store
• Experience setting a strong vision and roadmap for the team
• Experience working in large mobile codebases exhibiting a high degree of modularity and reuse.
• Strength with Kotlin/Java for code reviews and making technical decisions
• Solid understanding of architecture patterns, namely MVVM
• Background with Bluetooth and Video Streaming on Android
• Ability to mediate between competing product and technical priorities
• Ability to identify the strength and weakness of individuals to maximize team effectiveness
