About Ruggable

Ruggable is a fast-growing Los Angeles-based e-commerce company disrupting the 5 billion-dollar rug market. Our patented 2-Piece Rug System has a removable top layer that can be washed in a home washing machine, offering a stylish and convenient solution for families, pet owners, and busy individuals. The Digital Printing Engineer will help Ruggable deliver amazing products to our customers by providing world-class digital textile printer expertise to the Product team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize printers to different ink and fabric types using internal software, color profiles, and tension/feeding adjustments
  • Prepare fabric and plan printing with limited oversight and instruction
  • Perform daily tasks to help to operate and maintain R&D printer (color standardization, QA, etc.)
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot printer problems
  • Develop and follow new/changing protocols in a fast-paced environment
  • Train and coach other print operators or employees on advanced features
  • Be Ruggable’s go-to source for questions related to wide format direct application textile printers


Qualifications / Requirements

Required:

  • Proven knowledge of and experience with direct application digital textile printing
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to legally work in the United States
  • Ability to work flexible hours on-site, but ~9AM-5PM is standard for team

Preferred:

  • 3+ years’ experience with digital textile printing
  • Ability to operate a rotary/calendar heat press (and optimize its use for different fabrics)
  • Experience with advanced color management and profiling methods
  • Experience with Caldera RIP software
  • Experience with other types of textile machinery (e.g., cutting machines, tufting machines)

I'm most excited about projects that we're undertaking to enhance our Customer Experience. Some of the most immediate projects are expanding the different channels we communicate with customers on including phone and chat. We're also looking into standing up more self-service customer friendly tools so customers always know their order status.
