DevSecOps Engineer
As a DevSecOps engineer at Regard, you’ll be involved in all stages of the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle: participate in idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and external IT teams to ensure our applications are consistently available and performant. You'll also assist with security audits, both internal and external as well as be responsible for helping to maintain a high level of security and compliance with relevant frameworks.
In a typical week you may:
- Manage external audits and coordinate evidence gathering across the team
- Write utility scripts to help support developer workflows
- Support and own core technical infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability
- Participate in agile planning, code reviews, and release testing
- Ramp up on new tools, share learnings with teammates, and generate best practices
- Run quarterly audits of logs, policies, systems, etc...
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years professional experience (or equivalent) in a DevOps, Sysadmin, SRE, or similar role
- Experience working with a compliance framework such as HIPAA, SOC2, or HITRUST
- Excited about working with a fast-paced, small team in a dynamic startup environment
- Proficient with some of our tech stack: Python, AWS, Postgres, Docker, Ansible, Bash, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about learning, improving, and helping your team do the same
- Willing to respectfully debate ideas, take pragmatic approaches, and work hard to accomplish goals with your team
