Job Description
We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team! This person will work closely with the Engineering team, being responsible for all the production and non-production environments of Centerfield. You will handle building, implementing and releasing infrastructure tools, automating the deployment pipeline, and working with development teams to help built and maintain all services.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily systems monitoring and management across all production and non-production cloud infrastructure
- Interface with users and developers in order to resolve technical and user problems and improve upon CI/CD pipelines
- Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations
- Plan for and ensure adequate load and performance during peak traffic and off-hour
- Install, configure, and manage different operating systems with Infrastructure as Code Automation
- Adhere to existing operational processes and maintain related documentation.
- Monitor industry trends and keep abreast of new tools and technologies.
Skills/Attributes Required
- Bachelor of Science degree
- 6+ years overall experience, 2+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure operations with AWS tools and services
- Strong Linux and Windows experience
- Experience with cloud security best practices
- Good understanding of containerization technologies
- Hands-on configuration management experience - Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Extensive experience working with CDNs, load balancing and proxy routing (ELB, HAProxy, Route53)
- Solid understanding of general application services (MySQL, ElastiCache, S3, Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Proficient with CI/CD tools; preferably Jenkins
- Intermediate knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C#, Java, Ruby, Python, Groovy
- Experience with scripting languages such as; Bash, Python and PowersShell/DOS
- Good understanding of and/or experience with log aggregation tools like Splunk, ELK or similar
- Experience with tools like DataDog, NewRelic or AppDynamics is a plus
- Experience with synthetic monitoring tools is a plus
- Experience with load testing and performance testing is a plus
- Positive attitude with skills and experience being a part of a team
