Luxury Presence is a rapidly growing Bessemer-backed SaaS startup that enables real estate agents to manage their online presence. We are moving fast to be a one stop shop for everything from websites to marketing services. If building scalable infrastructure to host thousands of small business websites or architecting an interactive editing experience for email marketing interests you — you would be a great fit for our engineering & development teams.


As CTO, you will lead our Engineering Department. Both the team and product are growing quickly, presenting an increase in new challenges and opportunities. Luxury Presence has multiple web applications, ETL jobs, and backend services facilitating static website rendering, mls search tools, interactive frontend features and more. This is a newly created role that will spearhead the development of solutions to help scale our technology. 


We want someone who has worked on the ground floor and can share multiple “2am emergency stories.” The engineering team is continually releasing new features and seeks a technology leader who can challenge them to grow. With a team centered on learning, the ideal candidate speaks from experience and carries strong opinions on software development.


What you’ll do:-

-Strategically expanding our engineering team 

-Build a high performance culture and inspire teams enabling optimal production

-Prioritize and deliver product initiative within the first 6 months

-Help increase NPS to over 30 within 9 months

-Work with cross-functional teams to optimize products and services

-Conduct 1:1s and personal development reviews with the team on a regular basis

-Architect the technology vision of the platform with the Chief Architect

-Partner with Product Development to set the roadmap and groom the backlog

-Actively participate in projects with the team to provide technical insight, reduce bugs, and increase development pace and productivity


What we’re looking for:

-10+ years of engineering leadership experience at start-ups with teams from 10-150

-You’re a great recruiter possessing the ability to draw on your network to attract amazing talent

-A demonstrated track record as a strong leader 

-Understand frameworks, can ensure the correct architecture decisions are made, and can build if they need to

-Strategic vision executed by aligning engineering decisions with our business strategy

-Customer-centric focus. You care about the customer and have a passion for building great products

Former Dallas Mavericks basketball player Dirk Nowitzki also participated in the round, along with other angel investors. 

 

Its solutions include stunning website design, an engaging home search tool, an agent-to-agent listing referral network, powerful content & SEO strategies, expert-lead social media management, and digital advertising for lead generation. In 2020, Luxury Presence was recognized as a Best Place to Work by BuiltinLA and by Inc. as the 322nd fastest growing private company in America and then again in 2021 — LP ranked 598th.
