Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects and be a "leader of change". Must be comfortable working with all levels within the organization. Must be able to question the status quo and be an excellent communicator. Will be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects, launch new products as well as mentoring and coaching all lean processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology in the implementation of manufacturing excellence initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality to provide greater value; implements such tools as 5S, KPI, SMED, VSM, and Kaizen.
- Train and lead cross-functional continuous improvement teams; focusing on measurable quality, service, and cost improvement.
- Drive a continuous improvement program that focuses on reducing process waste.
- Design and build robust scalable processes for new products
- Conduct time studies to create a steady-state workflow
- Train, coach and motivate personnel in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques.
- Drive the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices.
- Assist in setting annual operational targets and help drive improvements to achieve those targets.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or engineering equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in Lean Techniques
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment
- Experienced and knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma (LSS), 5S, KPI, SMED, VSM, and Kaizen
