The Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions team is focused on integrating a large portfolio of digital technologies across the USSF enterprise to provide near term solutions to our customer's pressing information system challenges. The Chief Digital Architect will provide senior technical leadership to this team and advise the government counterparts on near term IT solutions leveraging the portfolio of available technologies and offering from other programs to meet near term specific needs. This position requires an expansive set of knowledge: of technologies spanning the tech sector, USSF capabilities, andof how to guide a diverse set of contractors and government personnel to implement solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing direction on integrating some of the key information systems across a growing portfolio of data solutions, networks, platforms, and application frameworks across the United States Space Force
- This group provides plans, strategies, and execution assistance to deliver integrated information solutions to USSF mission areas
- The primary role will involve architecting, planning, and leading the execution of near term (6 month) integration solutions from the existing capabilities to provide as options for the government team, and then assisting in ensuring the execution of those integrations
- This role is a key position in meeting our Strategic vision of assisting our customers in Enterprise Integration and delivering capabilities in unprecedented speed
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science/Computer engineering or related engineering field with experience in Distributed Systems
- 12 or more years relevant experience working on distributed systems across multiple technology areas
- First hand experience in micro service based development patterns and Kubernetes container platforms both in on premise and cloud hosted environments
- Broad experience with developing databases/object stores and integrating them databases
- Understanding of Networking and CyberSecurity for distributed architectures
- Experience in leading teams developing and deploying data processing intensive solutions for customers
- Understanding of existing USSF computing platforms and ground systems.
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Masters in Computer Science/Related Discipline
- 12 years with direct experience of Space related Programs and their ground systems
- Experience with Multi Level Security technologies and RMF accreditation processes
- Understanding of Edge Computing and High Speed Processing capabilities
- Understanding of Government Identity and Access Management systems
