We’re searching for a Lead Backend Engineer with experience in Golang to drive all of our server and database efforts, building and innovating on top of our current platform and API. Your work helps shape the user experience programmed by front-end engineering.

QM has “soft launched” the iOS app in the App Store.

Responsibilities include

• Building and managing server-side scripts, APIs, and databases using Golang and MySQL

• Server administration including NGINX, MySQL/ProxySQL administration, Docker, cron services, and log management

• Experience implementing scalable server configurations

• Integrate third-party APIs such as Spotify, Apple Music, and others for data modeling and content aggregation

• Proficiency in SQL would be an added bonus

• Incorporate and manage cloud services

Requirements

• 3+ years experience building multiple server-based applications in Golang

• Experience leading server configurations on AWS and Digital Ocean

• Familiarity with front side platforms such HTML5 and CSS3

• Proficiency in Python, Swift, React, or other JavaScript frameworks a plus

• Ability to think strategically, foresee and account for future issues, and eager to present the team with new ideas, different approaches, and more

• Large capacity for attention to detail

• Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines
