Output builds software that inspires music creators around the world. Our industry-leading product Arcade has exploded in growth, and we’re looking for an Audio Software Developer to help us take it to the next level. Combining audio signal processing and user interface development, this individual will take a lead role in creating the next generation of Output’s music production tools. 

This is a short-term position offered on contract. Due to COVID-19 our LA-based office is currently closed. We are accepting applications from anyone based in the US who is authorized to work in the US. 

Responsibilities

• Play a lead role in the software engineering of a major Arcade product  
• Work with product design and sound design teams to create a musical tool that looks, feels, and sounds great
• Follow best practices for software maintainability and reliability

Requirements

• Significant experience with audio software development in C++ and JUCE
• Emphasis on modern software development practices, including revision control, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Experience integrating digital signal processing algorithms and developing user interfaces for professional audio software 
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and understanding of how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions
• Experience with iOS a plus
