About the Role:
If you love building 5-star Android apps and want to be a part of revolutionizing the way people pay their bills, then we need your help.
As the first in-house Android Engineer at Papaya, you will help create a frictionless mobile bill pay app experience for our Android users. You’ll take ownership of our existing codebase, add new features, improve performance, and produce a world-class product. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to write high-quality code and work well with other engineers, product managers, and designers.

What you would be doing:
- Design, build, test, and maintain high quality native Android applications
- Scope and estimate new feature development
- Collaborate with other mobile developers and software engineers on architecture decisions, code reviews, and maintaining code quality
- Document code, features, and processes
We’d like to hear from candidates with:
- 3+ years experience building mobile applications
- Proven experience developing and shipping native Android apps
- Knowledge of mobile app design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with Git for version control
If you have prior experience in Fintech, don’t forget to mention it.
