About the Role
Otto Aviation is seeking a dynamic engineer to lead the integration of the Supernatural Vision System (SNV). You will join a team developing the world’s most efficient aircraft. Otto Aviation is seeking first principles engineers that balance creativity with experience while working within an effective team atmosphere.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the integration effort for both Cockpit and Cabin Supernatural Vision Systems (SNV), ensuring compliance with technical specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Otto’s internal SNV team to support system definition and development.
- Conduct trade studies for optimized, fit, form, and function of SNV systems to include detailed system layouts and airframe integration in CATIA 3DExperience (3DX).
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to develop, define, and validate SNV system mechanical and electrical interfaces with adjacent systems and structures, including:
- Generation of zonal reference models (ZRM), interface control models (ICM) and drawings (ICD).
- Coordination of design and integration efforts with internal SNV team.
- Support development of CAD definition for SNV integration within Otto’s PLM system.
- Generate engineering analysis, drawings, schematics, specifications, test plans & reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support requirements definition for system integrated test lab / rig.
- Work with maintenance and operation experts on meeting reliability and maintainability targets.
- Support component, system, and aircraft level functional testing, including ground and flight test.
Who You Are
Education
- BS., in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in the design and development of electrical systems for aerospace.
- Knowledge of electrical systems common in modern Part 23 / Part 25 business aircraft.
- Experience with FAR Part 23 and/or Part 25 certification requirements and processes pertinent to electrical systems.
- Desired experience with RTCA D-160G and SAE ARP4754A.
- Experience with ASME Y14.100 Drawings and Y14.5 GD&T
- Proficiency with Dassault 3DX and/or CATIA V6 to generate and interrogate both 3D and 2D data.
- Knowledge of industry standards and hands-on experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to closely coordinate with manufacturing to support MRB activities.

Where You'll Be
**This is a remote position, with travel to the company headquarters in Ft Worth, TX, 1 week every 4-6 weeks for team collaboration
