Position Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership to help architect solutions for upcoming media streaming projects. Architect, code, and deploy modules to existing AWS backend for TV Plus. Implement backend service components, tasks, and architecture to support TV Plus server-side ad insertion, linearization, ad markers, session management, etc. Work in an agile, task-based environment to conduct engineering activities, projects, research, and/or operational tests in conformance to functional specifications, design requirements, operational capacities, and customer performance expectations. Debug production issues raised by customers and customer support teams, isolate the cause, and work towards a fix. Participate in meetings with other engineering staff and stakeholders to work towards ideal solutions and develop a deep understanding of requirements to help break them down into engineering tasks. Perform as a technical mentor and individual contributor of a small, distributed team of software engineers in an ever-changing corporate environment. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and ten years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or another related occupation. Must have eight years of experience in the following skill: (1) developing highly scaled production systems (thousands of concurrent requests), including the ability to troubleshoot and debug those systems. Must have five years of experience in the following skills: (2) mentoring and training junior developers; and (3) implementing production systems in AWS infrastructure including EC2, EKS, or S3. Must have three years of experience in the following skill: (4) programming with Golang including high competency in concurrency features including channels, atomic objects, and mutexes; and (5) experience completing comprehensive code reviews in Golang including high competency in concurrency features including channels, atomic objects, and mutexes. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $184,558/year to $185,000/year
