About this team:

As a software development engineer at Magnite, you'll create and maintain experiences across many of our customer and internal-facing web apps. You'll have the opportunity to impact a number of our products, including our tools used to create and update real-time bidding (RTB) rules and our UI’s used to set up private marketplace (PMP) and programmatic guaranteed (PG) deals.

We're looking for motivated, talented, and passionate people interested in joining our team of enthusiastic engineers focused on building robust, maintainable, performant, and well-documented applications.

In this role you will: 

  • Build complex web applications using the latest tooling and JavaScript frameworks, including React, Redux, TypeScript, Webpack/Vite, and ES6+

  • Work with a small team of diverse engineers distributed around the world

  • Write well-tested, documented, and performant code

  • Mentor, educate, and support those around you, and receive the same from other engineers on your team

  • Weekly professional development training to learn new technologies, frameworks, and languages

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • Strong JavaScript expertise and 4+ years of experience working as an engineer

  • A strong understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Previous work with React or another modern web application framework

  • Experience shipping complex and well-tested UI's

  • You are an effective communicator, and have experience writing code in a team setting using source control software like Git/Github

  • You are excited to learn from and teach other engineers, and believe in and practice continuous learning

Nice to have:

  • You have worked with distributed/remote teams

  • Experience deploying web apps via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis, etc.)

  • Experience with typed JavaScript (TypeScript/Flow)

  • Experience with Jest and Enzyme

  • Experience with contemporary JavaScript web/build tools (NPM/Yarn, Babel, Webpack/Rollup, etc.)

  • Experience with SCSS, Sass, or Less

  • Experience with Java backend development  is a plus

  • Experience with React Component Libraries like Ant Design, Material UI, or React Bootstrap

  • You have worked with project management software like JIRA, Asana, or Trello

In California, the base salary range for this position is: $115,000 - $135,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
