What’s the role?
The AR Systems Engineer provides critical electrical and mechanical support for AR and related Rx manufacturing equipment and systems to our wholesale and retail customers for both scheduled an unscheduled activities. This is a customer facing role. Support is provided remotely and on site. By leveraging their electrical and mechanical knowledge of current and legacy AR systems, as well as sound trouble shooting and problem solving methodology, deliver services and solve issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner to maximize customer uptime.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of AR / HC and related equipment in customer environments
Perform hands-on work in a production environment.
Perform and guide calibration process according to company requirements.
Evaluate equipment performance and process capabilities.
Manage assets and plan asset upgrades.
Refurbish mechanical componentry for reuse (ie pumps, valves, tooling etc)
Manage self and work assignments.
Ensure equipment is ready for production in a timely manner.
Reinforce compliance to company approved methods and quality standards.
Work closely with management, including lab manager and production manager, to achieve results needed to satisfy customer demand.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Provide day to day phone support to Zeiss and third-party labs.
Provide emergency on site support as needed.
Provide weekly reports in a timely manner
Set up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
Do you qualify?
5 years applicable work
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment including but not limited to operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and HVAC
Outstanding people skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Effective communication skills
Detail oriented
Manage self and work assignments
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
High degree of initiative and proven ability to work independently
Ability to apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.
Travel often, occasionally with little to no notice.
The annual starting base salary for this position is $60,600 - $75,800.
