Our Newest Opportunity: 

The Employee Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the employee benefits experience for clients and prospects by developing and executing high-impact engagement strategies. This client-facing role is responsible for leading engagement planning, creating customized communication tools, and delivering year-round benefit education strategies that drive understanding and utilization of employer-sponsored benefits. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Client & Prospect Member Engagement Strategy

  • Lead engagement strategy and discovery meetings with clients to assess needs and define engagement goals.
  • Research and recommend innovative engagement methods, tools, and vendors that align with client needs and demographics.
  • Participate in prospect meetings as needed, including finalist and discovery sessions.

Open Enrollment (OE) Engagement Strategy & Execution

  • Create OE deliverables, including but not limited to: benefits hubs/portals, animated videos, decision support tools, health fair materials, and other custom requests.
  • Provide initial drafts of deliverables for client review and manage revisions as needed.
  • Deliver final approved materials in a timely and organized manner.

Year-Round Engagement Strategy & Execution

  • Lead internal and client-facing strategy meetings focused on year-round employee engagement.
  • Design and implement creative campaigns that keep benefits education relevant throughout the year.
  • Create and manage the development of custom deliverables 
  • Respond to client requests for ad hoc educational support as needed throughout the year.

Engagement Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and track utilization metrics for both OE and year-round campaigns.
  • Analyze performance data to assess the effectiveness of engagement efforts.
  • Compile and present insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients.

Template Creation

  • Identify gaps in current engagement offerings and propose new deliverables and content formats.
  • Design and build templates for new communication materials that can be scaled across clients.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Creative and collaborative
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible and disciplined;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within a benefits consulting firm, broker, or HR technology company.
  • Familiarity with engagement analytics platforms and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of digital communication trends and multi-channel campaign strategies.

Education, Training and Experience:

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in employee engagement, benefits communication, or related client service role.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and communication best practices.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $70,000 to $73,000 per year.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.
