The Role:

First Connect is looking for an Account Manager focused and responsible for the growth and increase in production of already onboarded agents. In this role you will be increasing the agent’s knowledge and understanding of appointed carriers to drive additional production. The Account Manager will also need to be well versed in P&C insurance with an in-depth understanding of the industry. You will be vital in the growth initiatives of working with Agents to drive consistent production and incremental policy gains through building agency relationships and a detail-oriented view on training best practices with your assigned agents.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned Agencies 
  • Regularly schedule and coordinate agent training on an individual basis 
  • Achieve and exceed set sales targets 
  • Leverage cross-sale opportunities with your assigned agents 
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute best practices 
  • Use data driven approaches to identify opportunities for growth 
  • Collect and communicate feedback from training sessions to drive improvements 
  • Responsible for the knowledge of all Carrier Markets and Products, Commission Structure, and Appointments 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of P&C experience including working with Independent Agents 
  • Experience training and developing agency staff  
  • Must demonstrate ability to problem solve and communicate effectively 
  • Must be able to understand and review agency qualifications for appointments and make recommendations on appointments 
  • Experience selling and marketing P&C personal lines and commercial lines 
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills including conducting formal presentations for small and large groups 
  • Licenses and Certifications: 
    • TDI P&C license and CPCU and/or CIC designation is desirable 
  • Self motivated; ability to collaborate is a must, but you must be able to work autonomously and are expected to succeed without heavy direction 
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to problem solve 
  • Flexible and willing to do what is needed to get great work done

The base pay range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 + Commission. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, location, business needs, and market demands.
