Emo Nite has become a cultural phenomenon, uniting fans of emo, pop-punk, and alternative music in a series of unforgettable events. What started as a single party in a dive bar in East L.A. and has since blossomed into a recurring celebration in over 50 cities across the United States. Our events bring together music lovers, artists, and pop culture icons, creating a space for nostalgia, discovery, and community-building.

Emo Nite has come a long way since that first party in 2014, hosting full-day festivals and curating performances at major events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Firefly. Alongside our events, we've launched successful clothing collaborations with well-known brands, solidifying our presence as a driving force pushing the emo and alternative culture scene forward.

THE ROLE

Emo Nite is looking for a highly motivated and proactive intern to join the marketing team that has an eye for graphic design in Calabasas, CA.  This position will be a hands-on experience in an exciting, fast-paced, setting. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting Marketing Manager & Social Media Coordinator by researching current social media trends & finding content.

  • Creating/editing original social content such as graphics, memes, tiktoks/reels, etc. to be used on Emo Nite’s social channels ie. Emo Nite, Grave Rave, Graveboy Records, & CD Burners.  

  • Assisting Graveboy Records team in organizing assets needed for releases.

  • Assisting marketing team in capturing Instagram story content on site at Emo Nite events in Los Angeles and capturing other content for use on social media.

  • Maintaining database of Emo Nite photo archive, including overall file organization, as well as posting photos weekly to Emo Nite’s website.

  • Templatizing tour materials (for example refreshing/changing dates, guest artists, announces, etc)

  • Resizing existing materials for specific markets/needs.

  • Preparing materials for print.

  • Assisting Marketing Manager & Creative Coordinator with proofing tour materials.

  • Assisting Marketing Manager with distribution of tour materials.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned including occasional errands.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and interest in music industry, emo music, and Emo Nite’s brand

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and functions

  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

  • Strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent software

  • Proficient in Creative Cloud (strong in photoshop and illustrator)

  • Knowledgeable about current design trends, fonts, color palettes and layouts preferred

  • Must have valid drivers’ license and vehicle

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments in dynamic work locations

  • May work in drastic temperature climates while on site at events

  • Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

Hiring Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour
