Emo Nite has become a cultural phenomenon, uniting fans of emo, pop-punk, and alternative music in a series of unforgettable events. What started as a single party in a dive bar in East L.A. and has since blossomed into a recurring celebration in over 50 cities across the United States. Our events bring together music lovers, artists, and pop culture icons, creating a space for nostalgia, discovery, and community-building.

Emo Nite has come a long way since that first party in 2014, hosting full-day festivals and curating performances at major events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Firefly. Alongside our events, we’ve launched successful clothing collaborations with well-known brands, solidifying our presence as a driving force pushing the emo and alternative culture scene forward.

THE ROLE

Creative Producer – This is an in-office position and not remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Design and Production

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Templating tour materials, including updating dates, guest artists, announcements, and related content.

  • Resizing existing materials to meet specific market or client needs.

  • Preparing materials for print production.

  • Organizing and distributing still/video files to clients, partners, and representatives.

  • Managing creative direction during photoshoots as required.

  • Communicating with cross-functional teams to create necessary deliverables for editorial shoots.

  • Managing usage rights for all creative projects.

  • Sourcing stock footage, fonts, and images as needed from media libraries.

Project and Production Management

  • Managing various creative projects from start to finish, balancing short-notice and long-lead timelines.

  • Overseeing production schedules for shoots, including pre-production and post-production timelines.

  • Partnering with external teams, agencies, and brands to coordinate production-related needs, including co-production.

  • Interfacing between partners and agencies to ensure all creative project members have the information needed to execute their tasks.

  • Organizing and scheduling the ongoing development of creative production projects.

  • Partnering with strategic creative leadership to produce various creative projects.

  • Providing on-site support at various site locations in a hybrid work environment.

  • Recruiting, training, and onboarding team members in collaboration with partnering teams.

  • Managing production for company collaborations and coordinating with brands.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Utilizing Google Drive, particularly Sheets, for tasks like run-of-show management.

  • Demonstrating clear communication skills and effective time management to meet deadlines.

  • Clearly articulating requests to the creative team or partners to minimize unnecessary revisions.

  • Regularly using collaboration tools such as Slack and Asana for task management and communication.

  • Partnering with cross-functional, internal, and external teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Train and provide support in onboarding team members, clients, vendors and partners when needed

  • All other projects and initiatives as identified

Bonus Skills

  • Staying updated on design trends, including fonts, color palettes, and layouts

  • Building connections with other creatives, including designers, video editors, effects specialists, and typography artists.

  • Exploring new creative techniques, programs, and outlets to enhance production quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience with creative production direction

  • Proven ability to execute out of the box visions

  • Clear understanding of product and marketing calendar and requirements

  • Establish industry relationships

  • Knowledge of the market with regards to photographers, models and various teams

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure

  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research

  • Knowledge of the principles of target marketing

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • General knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows

  • Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business is a plus

  • Some travel may be required (economy)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event locations

  • Must be willing to frequently work and travel to work events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events

  • Must be able to work in open concept office space

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 USD

Emo Nite takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
