Role Overview

We seek an exceptional team member, Linux Kubernetes technical expert, and business development visionary as we create new synergies and innovations with our global embedded partners. Your contribution will create competitive advantages that add value to a diverse set of customers and drive revenue growth worldwide.

As an Embedded Solution Architect, you will work closely with alliance directors and partner solution architects to build solutions that solve customers’ challenges and can be sold through solution bundles or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) routes to market. \

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities in conjunction with partners’ go-to-market that can be satisfied by SUSE solutions, products, and services.

  • Engage with partners to understand their technical and business needs—building valued relationships and developing as a trusted technical advisor. 

  • Lead the development of partner go-to-market strategies with regional sales teams and participate in marketing efforts through presentations, blogs, technical speaking engagements, rodeos, and conference booth demos.

  • Create a competitive advantage for the SUSE product portfolio with the partner’s product portfolio, offering a joint value proposition for our joint customers.

  • Take a proactive leadership role in designing, creating, installing, and documenting technical Proofs-of-Concepts, Best Practices, and Reference Architectures.

  • Drive expert-level communication of customer/partner feedback and market experience to product management/engineering organization within SUSE. 

  • Act as subject matter expert on the partner’s technology to SUSE functional teams.

  • Assist in defining and evolving strategy for SUSE partner.

  • Participate in relevant marketing events, including trade shows, seminars, and conferences as the subject matter expert. 

  • Provide product and solutions knowledge transfer to partners, SUSE salespeople, and peers to drive opportunity development and revenue.

  • Through face-to-face meetings, develop a relationship with your partners to understand their needs, technical environment, and future road maps.  

  • Work as part of the broader SUSE alliances team to share resources, information, and best practices.

  • Take proactive ownership of your professional development by staying curious and embracing a growth mindset. Focus on driving your success, advancing your skills as a technical professional, and deepening your expertise in the SUSE value proposition.

Skills & Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) 

  • 4+ years of technical experience with Linux Open-Source enterprise software.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Linux container technologies.

  • Experience in Linux data center technologies like systems management, cloud-native solutions, storage, and networking. 

  • Experience with cloud-native enterprise applications.

  • Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Experience in creating technical demonstrations and whitepapers to illustrate product value through use cases.

  • Experience in a customer or partner-facing position such as partner engineering, product management, sales, pre-sales, or consulting.

  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent time management and the ability to effectively prioritize workloads. 

  • Excellent networking, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
