About the Position

We’re looking for a curious, creative, and motivated Email Marketing Coordinator to help support new marketing initiatives across the Vetcove platform. In this role, you’ll assist with testing ideas, creating engaging content, and learning how to optimize marketing programs that help veterinarians and pet parents discover Vetcove. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who is eager to learn, experiment, and grow.

What You'll Do

  • Lead lifecycle marketing efforts across the customer journey with a strong focus on e-commerce performance, including acquisition, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase flows, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional messaging.

  • Build and optimize audience segments that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue aligned with KPI goals.

  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of consumer e-commerce email and SMS initiatives — including template building/HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and deployment.

  • Manage and maintain the email/SMS marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities, merchandising/retail needs, demand forecasts, and cross-functional partners.

  • Own the A/B testing roadmap — design experiments, execute tests, track results, and translate insights into actionable improvements.

  • Conduct testing across subject lines, messaging, CTAs, segmentation, customer cohorts, send-time optimization, and new features intended to increase performance.

  • Partner with design and copy teams to evolve creative direction, layouts, and templates based on best practices and performance data.

  • Produce regular reporting on campaign effectiveness, including opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, lift, unsubscribes, and other core metrics.

  • Measure and analyze the ROI and overall effectiveness of all lifecycle marketing activities, providing recommendations for scaling what works.

  • Stay current on trends in e-commerce, email, SMS, and loyalty marketing across leading brands; conduct audits and identify new opportunities to acquire, nurture, and retain customers.

You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 1-3 years of experience in consumer e-commerce or retail-focused marketing roles, ideally with ownership of lifecycle and retention channels.

  • Hands-on experience managing both strategy and execution of email and SMS programs.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure ROI, interpret data, and turn insights into action.

  • Familiarity with segmentation, testing methodologies, and lifecycle program design.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with creative, merchandising, and product teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
