Job Description
What's it like to work on the electronic systems that keep the United States military airborne? Rewarding. Electronics test technicians at BAE Systems, Inc. work with controls and avionics systems for some of the most well-known military aircraft in the world, testing components of these systems built right here in Endicott, NY for functionality and build quality. As an electronics test technician you will perform both automated and manual test procedures on electronic circuits, and draw from a healthy understanding of electronics principals, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot test failures. Technicians must understand how to use instrumentation and tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers and must be able to read and understand technical documentation such as electrical schematics, and technical drawings. The ideal candidate for this job has excellent attention to detail, enjoys solving challenging technical problems and is able to follow written procedures and abide by their guidelines. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Candidates must have functional knowledge of electronic measurement equipment such as Voltmeters, Ammeters and Oscilloscopes
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams
  • Ability to work 2nd Shift
  • Must be able to follow precise written instruction
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to slide 200 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to work at a brisk pace and remain standing for 6 hours at a time

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with functional test of electronics products
  • Excellent technical problem solving skills
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar; or has equivalent experience

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $43285 - $69256
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
