As the Electronics Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of building and leading a team of talented electronics engineers. You will have a pivotal role in shaping the future of our satellite technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and delivering performance that sets new industry standards.
Role- Directly manage, mentor, and expand a team of both junior and senior electronics engineers
- Collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to define and architect our next-generation electronic systems
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of our electronic hardware, from design and development to implementation and verification
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to ensure that our hardware development aligns with the overall program timeline
- Drive the design process, including specification, component selection, circuit board design, and system-level integration
- Lead the team through hands-on debugging, board bring-up, and system validation
- Play a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members to support our rapid growth
- Provide expert support to our production and operations teams for the successful deployment and use of our hardware
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team
- A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field
- 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced product design and development environment
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex electronic hardware from concept to production
- A passion for hardware development and a desire to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- Proven experience in building and managing teams of engineers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Experience with photovoltaics
- Experience with Li-ion batteries and battery management systems
- Experience with magnetics in power electronics
- Knowledge of radiation effects on electronic components
