Electronics Engineering Manager

As the Electronics Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of building and leading a team of talented electronics engineers. You will have a pivotal role in shaping the future of our satellite technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and delivering performance that sets new industry standards.

Role
  • Directly manage, mentor, and expand a team of both junior and senior electronics engineers
  • Collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to define and architect our next-generation electronic systems
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of our electronic hardware, from design and development to implementation and verification
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to ensure that our hardware development aligns with the overall program timeline
  • Drive the design process, including specification, component selection, circuit board design, and system-level integration
  • Lead the team through hands-on debugging, board bring-up, and system validation
  • Play a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members to support our rapid growth
  • Provide expert support to our production and operations teams for the successful deployment and use of our hardware
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced product design and development environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex electronic hardware from concept to production
  • A passion for hardware development and a desire to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
  • Proven experience in building and managing teams of engineers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Bonus
  • Experience with photovoltaics
  • Experience with Li-ion batteries and battery management systems
  • Experience with magnetics in power electronics
  • Knowledge of radiation effects on electronic components

Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package. Your compensation also includes a significant equity package via incentive stock options, high-quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement planning, flexible PTO, and free on-site catered meals.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
Base Salary
$160,000$215,000 USD
