About this role 

Riot Platforms, Inc. is at the forefront of the bitcoin revolution, operating one of the most advanced Bitcoin mining facilities in the industry. We are looking for a skilled Electrician to support our growth and maintain the highest standards of electrical efficiency and safety in our bitcoin mining operations. This position is based onsite at our Corsicana, TX location and follows a 12-hour rotating schedule of 4 days on, followed by 4 days off.


What you’ll be doing 

  • Install and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
  • Inspect electrical components, identify issues, and perform repairs or replacements as needed
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical wiring, circuits, and systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, ensuring the timely and accurate resolution of issues to minimize downtime
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Identify and mitigate electrical hazards, following industry best practices and regulations
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to existing electrical systems to meet changing needs or improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including contractors and engineers, to plan and complete projects
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to understand their electrical needs and provide solutions
  • Educate team members on the proper use and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of repairs, installations, and inspections


What you’ll have 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid electrician's license, in accordance with local and state regulations.
  • Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program.


Physical requirements and work environment 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds) 
  • Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.) 
  • Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures 


Safety Requirements 

  • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots). 
  • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. 
  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training. 
  • Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
