Electrical Project Manager (In‑Person):
Location: Tustin, CA (In‑Person)
Travel: As needed, up to 50%
Job Summary
Our Tustin, CA office is seeking an Electrical Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to support and manage electrical engineering projects for healthcare, institutional, commercial, and industrial clients. This role is ideal for a Project Manager who is ready to take ownership of projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a key client interface while continuing to grow into more senior leadership responsibilities.
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project execution, coordinating engineering and design teams, monitoring schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical engineering projects from planning through design, construction, and closeout.
- Coordinate and oversee project teams consisting of engineers, designers, and other disciplines.
- Assist in developing project scope, schedules, staffing plans, and fee estimates.
- Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support technical oversight of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Review drawings, calculations, models, and specifications for quality, coordination, and constructability.
- Coordinate work activities related to:
- Engineering and design production
- Document control and QA/QC processes
- Construction administration and field support
- Participate in site visits, existing-conditions assessments, and field coordination meetings.
- Lead or support client meetings, design coordination meetings, and technical discussions.
- Prepare and assist with engineering reports, assessment reports, and Basis of Design (BOD) documents.
- Track and manage project schedules and deliverables.
- Assist with project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and change orders.
- Identify project risks and collaborate with senior staff to develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting or managing electrical engineering projects.
- Experience with healthcare, institutional, science and technology, commercial, or industrial facilities preferred.
- Prior experience at a design engineering or consulting firm strongly preferred.
- Technical Background:
- Working knowledge of electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and design guidelines.
- Software Skills:
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience coordinating BIM models with design teams is a plus.
- Licensure & Certifications:
- EIT certification is preferred
- LEED certification is a plus
- PE license is a plus
- Project Management certification (PMP) is preferred.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing interactions.
- Ability to coordinate across disciplines and facilitate collaboration within project teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision while escalating issues appropriately and promptly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
