Ericsson Estonia's Test Hardware Development System Design department is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer, who can design the electrical system for industrial machinery (test equipment).
You will work with development activities like requirements' analysis, component choice, cabling and hardware design, integration, verification, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
  • Design electrical systems (including enclosures and cabinets) for production test systems and for automated machines (testers) and production lines, with nominal current up to 64 A
  • Design electrical cabling and wiring diagrams
  • Cooperate with design partners and stakeholders, clarify requirement and write (design) specifications
  • Perform the work for CE marking (European Safety marking) of the designed equipment (according to LVD or the electrical standard for MD)
  • Write documentation for assembly, testing, maintenance and use of the designed systems
  • Archive & release design documentation and products

What you will bring:
  • BA or M.Sc.in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar - min. 2 years work experience in electrical design, preferable related to machine building and/or factory automation
  • Ability to design electrical systems for machinery
  • Experience following and working with electrical standards
  • Good market knowledge about components for electrical systems
  • Knowledge about the specification/design/integration of safety components for automated machines/lines
  • Experience with CADMATIC Electrical or AutoCad Electrical
  • Analytical and solutions-oriented mindset, agile ways of working
  • Good communication, social and teamwork skills
  • High level English profiency

It would be nice to:
  • Be familiar with various networking protocols and hardware (ie. OPC-UA, ModBus, Ethernet, ProfiNet, ProfiBus, etc.)
  • Understand how to control and prevent EMC related issues
  • Have electrical system installation and acceptance test (FAT/SAT) experience
