Who we are looking for:
The EHSS Technical Program Manager, Enterprise is responsible for leading strategic and operational initiatives across the global EHSS function, with a focus on budget forecasting, EHS Management Systems (EHSMS), digital tools, training programs, and long-term planning. This role ensures the effective integration of EHSS systems and processes across the enterprise, supporting compliance, performance improvement, and innovation in the automotive sector.

- Program Leadership: Lead cross-functional EHSS programs and projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
- Managerial Responsibilities: Lead a team of program managers to ensure effective oversight of all EHSS programs enterprise wide.
- Budget Forecasting & Planning: Develop and manage EHSS budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes in collaboration with finance and operational teams.
- EHS Management Systems (EHSMS): Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHSMS frameworks to support global compliance and performance tracking.
- Systems & Tools: Manage the lifecycle of EHSS digital platforms and tools, including selection, deployment, integration, and user adoption strategies.
- Training & Capability Building: Design and implement enterprise-wide EHSS training programs to build organizational capability and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of long-term EHSS strategies, including sustainability, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Metrics & Reporting: Lead the development and delivery of executive-level EHSS reporting, including periodic activity reports, dashboards, and performance summaries. Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and key activity indicators (KAIs) to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, IT, HR, and Legal to embed EHSS priorities into core business processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in EHSS practices through benchmarking, technology adoption, and process optimization.
What you bring to the team:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in program or project management roles, with a strong background in EHSS and business operations within the automotive industry.
- Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar standards is a plus.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Expertise in data visualization, KPI / KAI tracking, and executive reporting.
- Proficiency in EHSS systems and enterprise platforms (e.g., Enablon, SAP EHS, Gensuite, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working Conditions and Environment:
- This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to manufacturing sites and corporate offices to support audits or inspections, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Must have the ability to travel, both domestic and international (up to 40%).
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Los Angeles, CA Base Salary Range – $135,556 to $169,445
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Slate reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. In addition to base pay, Slate also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs – 401k match, annual bonus and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA / FSA.
