DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking a professional to plan and lead initiatives that ensure our workplace is safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible. You will work across departments to uphold our commitment to protecting people and the planet by fostering a culture of Zero Harm.

This is an on-site position in Livermore, CA and will report to the Head of EHS.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Implement and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations and company standards
  • Develop and lead assessments and hazard analysis to identify EHS operational risks, coordinate and act as the facility representative for regulatory and third-party audits and assessments
  • Respond to incidents and lead investigations, root cause analysis and manage implementation and maintenance of corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve EHS performance
  • Work across functional areas to develop and implement corrective actions and controls to reduce and/or eliminate EHS risks
  • Conduct research and write policies, work instructions, training materials and other technical documents
  • Support EHS education for employees across all functional areas by developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive training programs to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and build EHS competency throughout the organization
  • Manage environmental compliance, ensuring that all required inspections, sampling and reporting are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and lead employee events and activities to engage the workforce and promote cultural growth
  • Coordinate and manage emergency response including organizing and conducting tabletop exercises, evacuation drills and related activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, risk management, organizational management, business or similar field
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in EHS, human resources, risk or operations management within manufacturing, distribution, or comparable industrial environments
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with a decisive, action‑oriented approach
  • Possess advanced expertise in researching, interpreting, and applying regulatory standards
  • Exhibit highly developed technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, precise documentation
  • Effectively influence outcomes by fostering collaboration, building trust, and aligning stakeholders
  • Take full ownership of responsibilities, operating proactively while leveraging managerial guidance as needed
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Frequent movement between work areas, including outdoor and indoor environments with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, twisting or stooping
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be able to navigate manufacturing environment, comfortable around heavy machinery, tools, etc.

  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, (i.e. safety glasses, bump caps, hearing protection, etc.)
  • 10 % travel may be required
  • Standard start time 5:00am (negotiable)

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $170,000/annual salary + premium benefits  

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
