The EHS Engineering Intern will work closely with an experienced EHS Engineer in a team setting to support various environmental, health, and safety initiatives. Position Type: On-site -typically requires 3 days per week in the office

Status: Part-Time- 25 Hours Per Week/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Quality and Regulatory Engineering Manager

Pay: $25.00 hourly

Responsibilities

Work in a team environment alongside EHS Engineer.

  • Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Support the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with environmental reporting and data collection (e.g., waste, water, energy usage).
  • Create and deliver safety training materials and toolbox talks.
  • Support ergonomic assessments and workplace safety improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on EHS projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Junior level or above, currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Must be in good academic standing and have completed relevant foundational coursework.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to follow instructions, take initiative, and work independently when needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative, practical design solutions
  • Solid analytical thinking with the ability to assess problems and implement effective resolutions
  • Demonstrates ownership of work and a consistent focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills
