IXL Learning is seeking a motivated Educational Sales Consultant to join the Carson Dellosa field sales team. As the print division of IXL, Carson Dellosa is the trusted source for learning materials for the classroom, home, and anywhere learning happens. Founded by teachers over 45 years ago, our vast collection of high-quality solutions is designed to capture life’s many learning moments – whether those happen in the classroom, at the kitchen table, or on-the-go. 

In this role, you will drive new business and expand our retail market presence and wholesale partnerships. You’ll meet ambitious sales targets through strategic account management and expansion, and the cultivation of strong relationships with buyers and distributors. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales with the ability to increase the visibility and accessibility of our educational materials across diverse channels.

This is a full-time remote position for candidates in the United States.  #LI-REMOTE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Drive growth within current retail accounts by identifying opportunities for expanded shelf space, new category placements, and higher volume targets
  • Actively prospect and pitch to new retailers and buying groups to secure new storefronts and online listings for our brands
  • Analyze merchant and buyer needs to create high-performing product assortments, proposing educational solutions that drive category growth and margin
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategies aimed at hitting ambitious revenue goals across new and existing channels
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the full IXL Learning print product portfolio, including:
    • Curriculum-based classroom decor, bulletin board sets, flashcards, hands-on sensory products and more from Carson Dellosa
    • Popular workbook series from IXL, Carson Dellosa and Evan-Moor including IXL Ultimate series, Spectrum, Summer Bridge Activities, and Skill Sharpeners, research-based supplemental daily practice books, STEM activity books
    • Rosetta Stone specialized print materials designed to support blended language immersion and bilingual literacy
  • Demonstrate how our products meet real needs and add value to any educational lineup
  • Manage and execute promotional campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally to plan, prepare, and successfully implement campaigns that maximize customer value
  • Maintain accurate records of buyer interactions, account updates and wholesale leads within the CRM
  • Gather and report critical market intelligence, including emerging retail trends and competitive analysis, to help shape our sales strategy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in sales, customer service, and/or account management, with a proven ability to hit targets and grow business
  • Experience working with wholesalers, retailers and contract pricing
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning for long term success
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Professional experience utilizing a variety of sales tracking tools (CRM systems)
  • Skilled in developing strong account relationships and collaborating effectively across internal teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and train team members on products, strategies and planning
