The Education Support Specialist provides direct, day-to-day support and coaching to candidates working with Aya Education. This role operates primarily within Aya Education’s ticket-based support system, managing candidate needs, providing coaching and problem-solving support, and identifying when escalation is required for additional internal or client-facing support.

Responsibilities:  

Ticket-Based Candidate Support and Coaching 

  • Manage and respond to candidate support tickets within Aya Education’s ticketing system
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders as part of ticket resolution to support candidate needs
  • Provide coaching, problem-solving support, and thought partnership related to skills development, role expectations, and school-based challenges
  • Apply sound professional judgment to determine when issues can be resolved through direct support versus when escalation is required

Documentation, Escalation, and Insight Sharing

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of candidate support interactions and outcomes
  • Recognize and escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk situations according to established protocols
  • Identify recurring themes, questions, and challenges emerging from candidate support interactions and share insights with leadership to inform coaching priorities and system improvements

Project Support and Additional Duties 

  • Contribute to short-term or ongoing projects related to education support systems, tools, or resources
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid or prior K–12 education or school-based professional credential
  • Direct experience working within K–12 school systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree or professional credentials
  • Significant experience in special education
  • Experience coaching or supporting candidates in school-based environments

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $33.65 to $38.46 per hour, which equates to $70,000 to $80,000 annually. 

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
