The Sui Foundation exists to support the development, growth and adoption of the Sui network. Sui is the first permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed from the ground up to enable creators and developers to build unique Web3 experiences from gaming to finance.

The Sui Foundation is committed to three decentralization principles; Embrace transparency and level the playing field, Communicate openly to build a culture of trust, and Engage directly with the community.

Mission:

Onboard the next billion users to web3 by supporting the advancement and global adoption of the Sui blockchain.
Vision:
To create a better world that unlocks opportunities through universal access and individual ownership.

Location: NYC or Global - Remote

About the Role:

Sui Foundation is looking for an Ecosystem Development Manager to be on the front lines of expanding the Sui blockchain ecosystem. This role is all about being plugged into the Web3 space—spotting early-stage builders, networking with founders, and helping projects get off the ground on Sui. You’ll be engaging directly with developers, sourcing new projects from across the industry, and making sure high-potential teams see Sui as the best place to build. Whether it's at hacker houses, Discord servers, or Web3 meetups, you'll be out there making connections and bringing in the next wave of innovation.

What You’ll Do:
  • Scout and source top builders – Identify promising teams, founders, and projects and bring them to Sui

  • Live in the trenches – build strong relationships with the broader community online and in-person at events and conferences

  • Support and connect – Help onboard projects, provide guidance on how to best leverage the Sui ecosystem, and introduce builders to key resources.

  • Bridge communities – Act as a connector between developers, investors, accelerators, and internal teams to drive ecosystem growth.

  • Bring fresh ideas – Work closely with the broader ecosystem team to experiment with new ways to attract and support builders.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of work experience

  • Experience in web3, whether through work, contributions to projects, or deep involvement in the community.

  • A strong personal network in crypto—builders, founders, investors, or communities.

  • Comfortable moving fast, working independently, and finding opportunities that others might miss.

  • Experience with ecosystem growth, BD, partnerships, or developer relations is a plus.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to be at the center of a growing blockchain ecosystem. You’ll have the freedom to build relationships, work with top-tier teams, and play a key role in shaping the future of Web3 on Sui. If you’re someone who thrives on finding and supporting builders in the space, we’d love to hear from you.

Our team is 100% remote and we are hiring across the world. Here at the Sui Foundation, you’ll be joining a world-class team with tremendous growth potential as we bring the next billion users to web3.

To support an efficient and fair hiring process, we may use technology-assisted tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to help identify and evaluate candidates. All hiring decisions are ultimately made by human reviewers.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
