Lead Monad Foundation's event programming strategy and operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and managing relationships with stakeholders.
The summary above was generated by AI

The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.

The Role

In this role, you will lead efforts in defining the intentions and motivations around the programming and identity of Monad events across the ecosystem. You'll work alongside leadership and key internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences that capture and maximize ROI based on team objectives. This role combines high-level strategic thinking and operational excellence to drive measurable business impact through events.

What You Will Do
  • Work alongside and liaise between senior leadership, key stakeholders, and events team:

    • Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem supporters and other targeted guests.

    • Understand and translate wider business objectives, priorities, and resourcing.

    • Manage and lead strategic efforts alongside the events team.

  • Develop and implement organization-wide events strategy:

    • Define event goals, ROI frameworks, OKRs and success metrics, and post-event analysis.

    • Identify opportunities for long-term, recurring, and/or scalable events that are in support of Monad Foundation initiatives and priorities.

    • Assess and develop plans for key conference and public event presence, planning strategic initiatives that complement business objectives.

    • Manage events spend and budgeting that maintain alignment to organizational and strategic priorities.

  • Oversee and manage multiple operational work streams and concurrent events from end to end:

    • Develop and maintain organizational excellence in process, procedures, and communication on a cross-team basis.

  • Maintain and champion a high degree of quality across all stages of events planning, production, and execution.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate has:

  • 7+ years prior experience in events strategy, business operations, product operations, strategy management, ecosystem strategy, or related roles; with at least 3+ years within the crypto industry.

  • Foundational understanding of and familiarity with the crypto industry and landscape.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-visibility, global events or programming for large audiences.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, liaise, and align on objectives with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

  • Adaptable and able to identify actionable paths forward given qualitative objectives or business guidance.

Why Work with Us
  • Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.

  • Huge opportunity. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.

  • The right team. You’ll be part of an exceptional and highly-motivated team

  • Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.

Salary and Benefits

Benefits for full-time employees may include medical, dental, and vision insurance (100% coverage for employees); generous paid time off; paid parental leave; and 10 company-observed holidays.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
