Engagement Overview

E3n is seeking a contract professional to support integrated marketing and communications strategies to drive member engagement, retention, and growth across the full lifecycle. The Coordinator will develop and deliver multi-channel content via campaigns, social media, print assets, and related channels aligned with E3n's mission, brand, and goals. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing compelling copy, utilizing design templates to create visuals, publishing content, and analyzing campaign performance.

Scope of Services

The contractor will be responsible for delivering work across six core areas:

1. Campaigns

  • Write, create graphics, formulate layout, and execute email marketing campaigns; support all email campaigns with QA testing to ensure consistent rendering across email clients and screen sizes.
  • Create on-brand graphics utilizing tools such as Canva, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Manage email project timelines and editorial calendars and communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding requirements, status updates, and deadlines.
  • Support audience segmentation and list creation in Salesforce, including importing and managing lists within HubSpot, Marketing Cloud, and Pardot for targeted campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels and personas.
  • Analyze campaign performance (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and provide recommendations to improve future campaigns.
  • Support audience segmentation and list creation in the organization's CRM platforms for targeted campaigns.

Key Outcome:
Compelling content resulting in strong metrics to include open rates and click-throughs (CTRs). 

 

2. Marketing Communications Calendar

  • Manage project timelines and editorial calendars and communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding project requirements, status, and deadlines.

Key Outcome:
An integrated schedule, incorporating all requisite channels and communications aligned with core focus areas, ensuring on-time and impactful messaging.

3. Membership Structure 

  • Develop and maintain a schedule of deployed assets across multiple channels (email, social, member portal promotions, print assets, webinars/events, and direct mail) to communicate E3n's new membership structure/tiers.
  • Ensure core buyer personas are represented in multiple assets and channels in a sequenced fashion.
  • Monitor channel performance to determine what campaigns (and modes) are most effective to result in continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Member Success) for real-time content management.

Key Outcome:
Members receive timely communications and take action to renew membership, achieving key metrics.


4. Social Media

  • Develop and deploy creative, strategic, organic, and paid social media strategies to engage key personas.
  • Partner with E3n's vendor to plan 6-8 campaigns monthly that align with key strategies, and events occurring during the academic year.

Key Outcome:
Compelling content resulting in strong visibility for E3n and growth of followers (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.). 

 

 5. Sales Enablement

  • Maintain sales enablement tools and templates, including presentation decks, case studies, social media graphics, and related assets.
  • Collaborate with sales and member success teams to align messaging.

Key Outcome:
Assets and tools are developed/deployed according to a defined schedule and communicate a compelling value proposition and differentiation to drive growth goals for new member acquisition.


6. Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Utilize CRM and event platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Swoogo,  or similar tools) to track engagement, participation, and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, participation, and event metrics.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.

Key Outcome:
Clear visibility into performance metrics to drive outcomes.

Deliverables

  • See above (campaigns, calendar, social media, sales enablement, membership structure project, reporting).

Engagement Structure

  • Reports to: Director, Marketing. 
  • Works independently with regular check-ins.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with marketing, product and member success teams. 

Timing & Commitment

  • Contract period: Initially six months, with the opportunity for contract extensions.
  • Remote position with no anticipated travel.

Success Measures

Success in this engagement will be evaluated based on:

  • Content quality of all requisite assets, creating efficiency in review cycle.
  • On-time, compelling social media content that increases engagement and grows the number of followers.
  • The target audience (core personas) receives comprehensive, sequenced messaging, resulting in fewer calls to Customer Service.

Contractor Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines and be a team player.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; writing samples are required of candidates who progress in the application process.
  • Good design aesthetics and a strong ability to work within established brand guidelines.
  • Experience creating and publishing content across a variety of social media platforms.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot, and Marketing Cloud, or ability/interest to learn; understanding of email marketing strategies and experience executing email campaigns.
  • Experience with web content management systems and analytics; Webflow or WordPress and Google Analytics preferred. 
  • Experience building and deploying emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot;  experience working with Salesforce for list creation and segmentation.
  • Understanding of email marketing strategies and experience executing email campaigns.
  • Experience in Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML/CSS as it applies to email formatting.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of search engine optimization, answer engine optimization, and web accessibility compliance.
  • Photo editing experience is a plus.
