Your role on the team:  

  • Monitors team productivity in the preparation and filing of client’s drawback claims.
  • Establishes new drawback clients.
  • Manages day to day drawback functions
  • Evaluates current drawback functions and identifies areas for improvement to increase productivity
  • Maintains high compliance related to the accuracy and filing of drawback claims
  • Keeps abreast of new CBP regulations and industry best practices
  • Manages requests from CBP and ensures all are actioned timely.
  • Initiates and manages start up processes for new drawback clients
  • Provides training to the drawback team handling new drawback accounts
  • Resolve problems and implement corrective action

What you need:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university preferred
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Brokerage License required for Customs Brokerage managers
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers  
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists  
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form  
  • Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships with regional and National logistics clients  
  • Dynamic leadership skills
