Description

The Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting the overall community solar subscription and enrollment process in IL, acquiring local channel partnerships, processing sales, on-boarding new customers, maintaining sales data on the platform, market research, reporting and additional support tasks as needed. The Associate will be collaborative with 3rd party brokers, the community solar team and various levels of management. This position reports to the Community Solar Sr. Sales Manager. This position is salaried, full-time, 40 hours per week and is in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall community solar subscription and enrollment process in IL
  • Develop and acquire local door to door channel partnerships for subscriber acquisition within budget
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide tracking, reporting and updates
  • Process sales as needed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Help customers enroll via phone, internet or in person
  • Manage and oversee providers for the subscription acquisition process
  • Assist Senior Sales Manager in negotiating subscription service agreements and terms with brokers and partners
  • Ensure broker setup, training and initiation after the Service Commencement Date;
  • Manage ongoing relationship with local brokers and partners
  • Shadow sales teams to ensure brand standards
  • Manage and verify partner compliance for Community Solar Program
  • Process and verify invoices in a timely manner
  • Analyze sales trends and results
Requirements
  • 3-5 Years of sales experience, solar preferred
  • Door to door sales experience
  • Hubspot and Netsuite experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and transportation
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite of Services
  • Strong and effective Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Effective BANT sales strategies
  • Positive attitude
  • This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in the office
  • Willingness to occasionally work nights or weekends depending on events
  • Local travel for role – 30%
