Your Career

As a Domain Consultant, Cortex Cloud Programs and Initiatives, you provide technical expertise and guidance in creating tools, templates and customer facing solutions to drive greater SE efficiency and improve overall win rate.  You will be key in defining technical solutions that our sales teams use to drive greater customer outcomes and establish Palo Alto Networks as a customer’s cybersecurity partner.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate closely with Global Domain leaders to drive a standardized approach in selling tools, customer-specific documentation and hands-on training solutions.

  • Owning publication of Domain-specific product demos in partnership with product management.  This includes ensuring demo scripts are current and in standard format along with creating how-to videos to train SEs..

  • Work closely with Solutions Consulting sandbox team to drive product roadmap and ensure solutions are properly configured to ensure Solutions Consultants and Domain Consultants get hands on access to our entire portfolio.

  • Help build out infrastructure and guides for Hands-On Workshops, ensuring our latest solutions and use cases are available for training..

  • Identify areas of automation in standard Proof of Value solutions as well as sandboxes and demos to reduce overall technical validation times within your domain.

  • Own and Maintain proof of value test case library.  Ensuring standardization of POV execution and working with Domain and Product teams to ensure we are driving the most effective POV test plans for our customers.

  • Own Domain Specialist Workbook documentation template to drive greater adoption by capturing opportunity specific information for sales teams to share with Customer Success and Professional Services

  • Work cross functionally with other Domain Consultants to drive cross-platform tools for selling and demonstrating our portfolio.

  • Play an active leadership role in the Masters program by partnering with Domain Specialist leaders and Product Management to drive greater expertise in your technical domain.

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 8+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering within Security Operations and/or Cloud Security (both a plus)

  • Solid understanding of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR/CDR, Cloud Posture Security, Cloud Runtime Security, Application Security, Attack Surface Management, IR, Analytics, Detection Engineering, and Forensics tools and processes

  • Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in working with customers, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude

  • Scripting/Programming capability a plus

  • Proficient in English

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $186000 - $255000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
