10x Genomics is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is critical to supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) of instruments. You will be a key player in a fast-paced team, ensuring that all documentation is managed with both speed and precision to meet aggressive project timelines. What you will be doing:

  • NPI Documentation Support:
    • Manage and organize all documentation related to instrument development within the NPI framework.
    • Ensure the timely processing of documents from creation to approval, facilitating rapid product development cycles.
    • Control the release and distribution of engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Uphold and apply our document control procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Document Generation and Review:
    • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to create, revise, review design documentation and support the release of work instructions.
    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all documentation, paying exceptional attention to detail.
  • System and Process Management:
    • Utilize our document control system to manage the lifecycle of all quality and NPI documentation.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the speed and efficiency of our documentation workflows.
  • Archiving and Retention:
    • Ensure that all project documentation is correctly archived for future reference and compliance.
    • Adhere to our document retention policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in a document control role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    • Experience supporting NPI or product development is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with speed and urgency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Strong understanding of document control principles and quality management systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  This position is with an agency and includes participation in its comprehensive health benefit program.  During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share more compensation information, and can connect you with the agency’s representative for benefits information.
