Harbor is seeking a Director of Workday HCM Services for a client facing role in our legal technology and optimization team.  This role will focus on both developing business and implementing the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) software suite, which includes compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance management and Learning, Absence, Time Tracking and Payroll. You will work closely with law firms’ and other key professional service firms’ HR Teams to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.  You will leverage your influence, expertise, and network to grow our client base and deliver quality results to Workday clients. You will create opportunities to develop and sustain a high performing, diverse, and inclusive team, that will contribute to the success of Harbor.

This is a full-time position that can be worked remotely from the United States, Canada or the UK (must be legally authorized to work in that country).

Responsibilities: 
  • Drive Workday business development activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and proposal development. Identify opportunities leveraging existing client relationships and networks. 
  • Partner with internal colleagues as well as members from the client team on comprehensive, full-lifecycle implementation initiatives  
  • Leads project workstreams, including identification and documentation of business requirements. Provide functional design, prototyping (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, user training, and defining support procedures.  
  • Creation and execution of test / use cases, configuration of Workday software, assisting with prioritization and sequencing workstreams  
  • Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities 
  • Validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback
Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Certifications Required: Workday HCM, Workday Integration 
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, Accounting, Computer and Information Science 
  • Ability and/or proven record of success in implementing an HCM system. 
  • Ability to direct a team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging and uncertain situations. 
  • 8+ years of consulting experience and working knowledge of HCM systems 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve 
  • All candidates will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, Canada or UK and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
