Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead global functional team responsible for optimizing monetization performance of Samsung TV Plus video ad tech and partner ecosystem
- Manage ad stitching operations, content ad load strategy, privacy implementation, and content partner ad tech onboarding/support
- Ensure optimal ad performance metrics by driving technical troubleshooting for fill-rate and render-rate issues
- Closely monitor and report on key monetization performance metrics
- Analyze ad load metrics and drive analysis/implementation of optimal ad policies for linear and VOD
- Identify and quantify impact of new technologies or processes. Model impact and evangelize among stakeholders to drive priority
- Collaborate with Channel Operations, BD, and Ad Ops teams to help content partners implement Samsung ad requirements
- Optimize data architecture related to advertising metadata and reporting
Skills and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s preferred
- 10+ years video advertising experience in Ad Ops, Product Management, or similar role. Recent experience with FAST or AVOD streaming service preferred
- 5+ years Server Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) experience familiar with pre-fetching, ad suppression, ad transcoding, and render-rate analysis
- Firm technical understanding of ad campaigns, digital video ingestion, and ad serving concepts (separation, frequency capping, blocking, beacons, audience, etc.)
- Hands-on experience working with Ad Ops on ad decision servers including SpringServe, DFP, Freewheel, BeachFront, and/or Magnite
- Knowledge of best practices in monetizing ad revenue across partners/exchanges
- Familiarity with DSPs, SSPS, VAST, VMAP, SCTE-35, and related ad insertion protocols
- Exceptional data analysis and problem solving skills
- Confident leader who can prioritize well and communicate clearly, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to influence others
- Ability to thrive and multitask in a constantly evolving environment
- Self-starter with an insatiable will to get stuff done
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $200,000 ~ $240,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
