The Director, US Hospital Portfolio Strategy will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing market-based strategies that impact the $1.7B Pfizer US Hospital portfolio. This leader will lead cross‑functional teams and influence decision‑making across US Portfolio, Supply Chain, the broader US commercial organization and supporting functions. A key focus will be partnering closely with the US Hospital Portfolio Marketing team to design and deliver high‑value programs that support portfolio growth and Operating Plan achievement.
The role will have significant accountability for demand pull-through, excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory reduction, GH&B margin improvement targets, and portfolio growth revenue/margin metrics. They will also oversee the Hospital OPEX budget, ensuring disciplined investment aligned with business priorities.
Success in this role requires exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across Commercial, Supply, Legal, Regulatory, Contracting, National Accounts, and other key partners.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cross‑functional portfolio, Sales, and Account Management efforts to develop, implement, and track quarterly revenue and margin‑generating programs that support Operating Plan performance
- Drive pan‑portfolio margin improvement initiatives in partnership with Manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on identifying, mitigating, and reducing excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory risk
- Manage and enhance key business reporting, including contributions to dashboards, portfolio performance tracking, and monthly business highlights
- Lead strategic, US pan portfolio initiatives, including business development opportunity assessments, allocation playbook development, and cross‑functional manufacturing‑related projects
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Strategy to identify and implement strategies that maximize molecule value with organized customers across Hospital, Alternate Site, and IDN segments
- Collaborate with Customer Strategy & Account Management to advance continuous improvement of supply program management processes, tools, and customer‑facing resources
- OPEX management for the Hospital business, including budget tracking, marketing/market research funding, freight, and accrual processes, ensuring disciplined use of funds
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field
- Minimum of 8 years in marketing, sales, contracting, finance, and/or relevant experience
- Market Access experience, contracting with GPOs and IDNs, working with Trade (wholesalers and distributors)
- Pricing analysis and determination, particularly with GPOs
