We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Assistant Treasurer to manage MongoDB’s financial activities and provide strategic financial guidance to the senior accounting management team. The Director, Assistant Treasurer will oversee the company's cash management, investment activities, and banking relationships. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that the company has the necessary financial resources to achieve its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the company's financial statements as the company scales
- Manage the company's cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring cash balances, and ensuring that adequate funds are available to meet the company's obligations
- Develop and implement strategies for managing the company's investment portfolios, including analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for optimizing returns, within the limitation of the Company’s investment policy
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including operating cash flow, cash burn rate, and investment return for senior accounting leadership team, executive management and the Audit Committee
- Collaborate internally with Tax, Compliance and Accounting teams to ensure we minimize tax exposure and risk while preserving working capital
- Oversee the Company's relationships with banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Evaluate debt and equity financing options
- Advise and monitor share buyback operations
- Develop foreign exchange exposure and hedging risk management program
- In collaboration with the legal team, manage the company's overall risk program, including the company's insurance portfolio
- Play a key role in the Global Accounting Leadership team to help drive the team’s strategic priorities
- Play a key role in the business with regard to market strategy around things such as investment risk, corporate credit card programs, etc
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in corporate finance, treasury, or a related field
- Experience managing large cash balances and investment portfolios
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
