Job Overview:
The Travel Operations Manager leads the Travel Team, overseeing all hotel sourcing for events and clients from initial inquiry through final execution. This role works closely with the Business Development team to ensure client needs and expectations are met, while providing leadership, structure, and support to Travel Managers and Coordinators to ensure deadlines are met and events are executed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee travel sourcing for leisure, staff, artists, VIPs, and vendor blocks in alignment with internal SOPs.
Manage travel contracting processes, including rooming lists and inventory management.
Lead and manage the Travel Team, providing organization, communication, training, and ongoing guidance.
Ensure team members are trained and proficient in Crewfare’s platforms.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Account Managers, and Marketing.
Ensure all events are accurately entered and maintained within CRM and Crewfare platforms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners; identify and develop new partnership opportunities.
Support the development and implementation of any Crewfare’s tech integrations.
Qualifications
3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams of 10+ employees in hospitality, travel, events, production, or related industries.
Previous experience in hotel sales, hotel operations, event management, festival production, group housing, or travel management preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple events, timelines, and client needs simultaneously.
Experience working within fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments with the ability to adapt quickly and problem solve proactively.
Comfortable working across multiple technology platforms, including CRM systems, event management tools, and travel/hospitality software platforms.
Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between sales, operations, marketing, and client-facing teams.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with experience managing both internal teams and external partners.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution when needed.
