The Genmab Director of Thought Leader Engagement (TLE) - Southwest is a field-based marketing role that is responsible for identifying and driving engagement with Hematology/ Oncology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Medical Experts (MEs). The TLE role supports current/ future indications for EPKINLY and other potential Genmab products in Hematology and Oncology.
Genmab TLEs are responsible for gathering key insights that inform brand strategy and account planning as well as driving advocacy for Genmab’s US Hematology portfolio with National/Regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Medical Experts (MEs), and other key influencers in the US.
This critical marketing role will report directly into the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Engagement, Oncology Marketing and partner closely with the other members of the Genmab marketing, matrix teams and alliance partners. He/she will be responsible for working cross-functionally with US Marketing, Sales, Market Access and Medical Affairs to shape and develop customer engagement strategies, execute prioritized tactics, generate actionable insights, address customer needs, anticipate market trends and uncover competitive intelligence, ensuring delivery against business objectives.
The Genmab Director of Thought Leader Engagement must have extensive Hematology/ Oncology field experience paired with very strong clinical acumen that enables in-depth discussions with KOLs. Success in this role will require a collaborative mindset, strong hematology (w/ recent launch) experience, and a proven track record operating in an emerging/developing organization.
Southwestern Region inclusive of: California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas; Incumbent currently residing in the southwestern territory is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement an impactful engagement strategy with KOLs that drives appropriate advocacy for EPKINLY and generates insights that inform brand strategy and account planning.
Identify market trends that may impact EPKINLY uptake and strategize solutions that will maximize the alliance field efforts.
Represent Genmab and EPKINLY Brand Team interests as the primary point of contact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Medical Experts (MEs).
Effectively communicate complex scientific knowledge as it pertains to customer engagement, brand strategies and prioritized tactics.
Identify, develop, coordinate, and execute a strategic plan for KOL engagement with Genmab at congresses and prioritized conferences.
Identify, train and evaluate EPKINLY speakers bureau.
Develop, maintain, and lead productive working relationships with Genmab sales leadership (and field sales teams), marketing, market access, field medical, relevant Genmab functions, and EPKINLY alliance partners.
Manage project timelines, and budgets.
Pull through the vision set by the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Engagement, Oncology Marketing.
Requirements
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
8+ years in Hematology/Oncology sales, marketing and/or account management or extensive experience within a high science TA; Direct TLE experience preferred.
Recent launch experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in the highly complex, dynamic environment of an emerging organization; direct startup, or new team experience desired.
Ability to work cross-functionally and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of high-performance results.
Resourceful, decisive, and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Prior joint venture, co-promote, co-marketing experience desired.
Ability to travel domestically 2 to 3 nights a week minimum (50%), including 1 to 3 weekends a month to facilitate KOL engagement at congresses and conferences.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$211,200.00---$316,800.00The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
